Dear Praying Amigos,
Three months ago, I started a soul winning course at church. There were four adults that finished the course. Three of the four that completed the course have won people to the Lord. There have been 7 or 8 people that have accepted Christ as their Savior during the past few weeks.
Neighbor Day
In mid March we held Neighbor Day at church. We visited everyone we could think of. We called everyone that we had a phone number for. We built the day up the best we could. The day was the best attendance day that we had had in over a year. One lady bought 13 people to the service.
Easter Week 2010
This year we held a Conference for Easter Week. We invited Rom Ribeiro´s Pastor that is in our town to be with us on Thursday night. Their pastor preached and their choir and quartet sang for us. That night we have 47. The next night we had 50 and they were all ours. The Conference continued on Saturday and Sunday.
Easter 2010
On Easter Sunday Geri´s Children choir presented their Easter Cantata and it was our best attendance in well over a year or so. There were 60 present for that service. Since December 2009, we have had new visitors visiting our church each week. Our attendance has increased in all of our services. The church is doing much better in all the areas. Our new pastor and his wife have been a blessing and a help. Pray with us that the church will be able to increase his salary. He took a 66% to 75% cut in pay to come work for us.
Baptismal Class
Last Sunday I started baptismal class. Three were present the first week, but there are two or three others that may be doing the class as well.
Mother Daughter Tea
On April 24, Geri held our annual Mother Daughter Tea. This year we had 67 present. Pray as we follow up on these new contacts.
Pray for us
From April 28 until May 26, we will be home for a very quick trip to visit a few churches and see our daughters and relatives. Pray for safety and for God to bless the few meetings we have lined up.
