Souls Being
Saved
We praise the
Lord for the souls being saved here in Londrina. Various Bible studies
are being done throughout the week and there are 3 people in the baptism
class. One young lady, Nattalia, was recently saved. She had made a
profession of faith, but never showed any fruit of her life in Christ.
One Sunday morning Geri had the opportunity to talk to her. Nattalia
admitted that she had only prayed a prayer to please those who were
talking to her. Through that conversation, Nattalia understood that she
was in need of a Savior but did not want to made a decision for Christ
that day. A few Sundays later, Angela was able to lead Nattalia to the
Lord. When Geri asked Nattalia about her decision, if it were real or
just to please a person, her face lit up with joy as she shared that it
was very real. The peace that comes only from the Lord is very apparent
in the young lady's life. Praise the Lord that some plant, some water,
and some reap, but all have a part.

David and Geri
Smith have served as missionaries
with Baptist Mid-Missions in Brazil since 1987.
Their
current work in Londrina was started in 2003 and now has it's own
3500 ft2 building and has recently had 100+ in attendance.

for a piano player.
