1st Church plant - Hope Baptist Church, Sao Paulo, Brazil: 1988 - 1995 |

From 1988 to 1995, David and Geri worked in
downtown Sao Paulo with three other BMM missionaries to help start the
Esperanca [Hope] Baptist Church. During their time there, this
church grew from zero at the beginning to averaging 300 when they
left. David's area of ministry at this work was the Music,
preaching, adolescents, and the bus ministry. This church had 1200
present for their 15th anniversary and had 825 recently for another
special service.

Second Church plant - Victory Baptist Church in Curitiba, Pr. Brazil: 1995 - 2001. |

In 1995, David and Geri moved from SP to
Curitiba. They took over the leadership of a small struggling wok
that had dwindled down to 12 just before they arrived. While they
were there, this church grew to averaging 100. At one point
they were averaging 120 for a while. God gave them a high of
178 at this work while they were there.
David, along with his missionary co-workers VW & Susan Peters, relocated the church and built 9,000 square feet for Sunday School rooms, Church sanctuary, and pastorium. This church has heart for missions. God also called 5 of their youth to Bible college while they were there. Third Church plant - Londrina, Pr. Brazil: 2002 - date |

Since 2002, David and Geri have been working
in Londrina, Brazil. They have started the Victory Baptist Church in
Londrina. They have built thus far a 3,500 square foot Sunday School
building which also hold the fellowship hall that they use for their church
services. David has used TV ads, radio ads, and printed up 125
thousand invitations inviting people to their church. During their
first 5 months, God gave them 500 first time visitors. The
church is now averaging 50 to 60. They have had a high of
163. This church is saving 20% of its income to start their
next church in Londrina.

God has provided land for their next work on a four lane road in a growing part of the city. One of David's preacher boys, Guto, is raising support in Brazil to help them start that work. |
