David and Geri Smith started their current work in April 2002 when they returned to Brazil from their furlough. They purchased land on July 4th, 2002, began construction in August 2002, and then moved into their new building and inaugurated the church on January 4th, 2003.

The church has a children's ministry, children's choir, youth choir, and adult choir. There are 5 Sunday School classes at present - Beginners (4-6 years old); Primaries & Juniors (7-11 years old); Youth (12-17 years old); College & Career; Adults. We have a nursery for the evening service (the evening service is the larger service here in Brazil) as well as Children's Church for 4-6 year olds. Wednesday evenings the adults have a Bible study and prayer time and the children 4-13 years old have choir. There are various Bible studies during the week as well as many visits being made. Music lessons are offered to those who desire to learn to play an instrument and use it in the ministry at church.
